About the editors:

Dr. Marat Terterov , is a political scientist with a PhD from St Antony’s College, Oxford. He is author of over a dozen books on business issues in the former Soviet Union and the Middle East. He was the co-author of a major USAID study of privatization in Egypt. A consultant to the UK government, he advises British companies on Russia, Ukraine and the Caspian region, speaking frequently at the Centre for International Briefing. He is also the author of many academic articles and holds a Chevening Scholarship.

Phillip Rosenblatt is an American trained international lawyer specializing in finance and major projects. He is the founding partner of Rosenblatt & Company. Prior to founding Rosenblatt & Company, he was a Partner of the Cairo office of Baker & McKenzie and a member of Baker & McKenzie’s Project Finance Group, where he was responsible for expanding the banking and finance practice and helped advise clients on project finance, syndicated lending and securitization projects. While with Baker & McKenzie, he spent three years at Baker & McKenzie’s Almaty, Kazakhstan office, starting from its inception, where he advised clients on their large scale energy, natural resources, industrial and banking projects in Central Asia. He has been involved in project, finance, joint venture and privatization work and has experience in structuring, documenting and negotiating international transactions, including power, telecommunication, and natural resource projects. He is a member of the New York Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the International Bar Association. He speaks fluent Russian and Turkish.
